Guidelines for Abstract Submission
and Author Information
- Abstract
should be 250 words or less. Limit to a single A4-size page
maintaining 1.5 inch margins on the top, bottom and sides of
the page.
- Provide
a concise title. Capitalize all first letters of every word
in the title using bold 12 point Times New Roman font. Type
the remainder of the material (authors, affiliations, and
text) in plain Times New Roman 12 point font. Include 4-6
keywords (separated by semicolons) from the presentation and
type them 2 spaces below the main body of the abstract.
- Provide
a single space between the authors and their affiliations
and denote each of the author’s affiliation using numerical
superscripts placed after his/her name. Affiliations should
include complete mailing addresses (including email
addresses), without abbreviations. Provide a double space
between the affiliation and main body of the abstract. Put
an asterisk beside the name of the presenting author. Use
single line spacing for the main text of the abstract.
- Spell
all words completely upon their first use and define
abbreviations by placing them in parenthesis after the full
word. Abbreviations are acceptable thereafter, but do not
begin the sentence with an abbreviation nor use it anywhere
in the title. Do not use figures, tables, or references in
the abstract. Italicize all species names.
- Please
submit the abstract as a Microsoft Word attachment using the
following naming convention: Last name of first author
followed by “doc”, for example, “_________.doc”. If you are
first author of multiple submissions, number each file
sequentially, for example, “__________1.doc” and
“__________2.doc”.
- Please
indicate on the abstract submission whether you prefer an
oral or a poster presentation.
- Email
the abstract and related questions to Dr. Edgar Amar (eamar@aqd.seafdec.org.ph)
not later than 15 October 2007.
