Annual Progress and Planning Meetings

The Annual Progress and Planning Meetings were held once a year from 2000 to 2003 with the support of the Regional Fish Disease Project funded by the Government of Japan (GOJ) Trust Fund. The objectives of the meetings are to (1) review the annual progress of research studies under the Regional Fish Disease Project; and (2) discuss research plans and project scheme for next year.

The meetings were participated in by scientists including Study Leaders and Fish Disease Expert working under the Regional Fish Disease Project as well as those scientists related to the Project. As an external evaluator, the Director of the Fish Disease Division of the National Research Institute of Aquaculture (NRIA), Fisheries Agency of Japan (FAJ, currently Fisheries Research Agency [FRA]), was invited to the meeting.

1. First Annual Progress and Planning Meeting

This meeting was convened at the Conference Room of the Aquaculture Department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC/AQD) in Tigbauan, Iloilo, Philippines on 11-12 December 2000.
